We encourage applications for tenancy from motivated barristers, with a track record of building a successful practice and who practice in at least one of our core areas of work.
Applications at all levels of call are considered; although applicants under 5 years call need to demonstrate outstanding potential or unique experience in a specialist area. We recognise confidentiality is a pre-requisite and promise a prompt response to applications.
Your application should be by email to Michael Goodridge, our Director of Clerking and Business Development, with whom you may arrange an informal discussion as a first step. It should consist of a CV, a cover letter and a completed Equality & Diversity questionnaire. Applicants will need to support their application with financial data and referees, both relating to abilities as an advocate and on a personal basis.
All applications will be handled in strict confidence; no information will be divulged without your consent.
If your application has merit you will be asked to attend two formal interviews with panels of members of Chambers. If taken forward, an informal meeting is arranged for you to be introduced to all members. The final decision to offer a tenancy is taken by all members of Chambers.
