Deka Chambers has market leading expertise in the field of inquests and public inquiries, underpinned by our experience in other, related, areas including regulatory and disciplinary work, personal injury, clinical negligence, police and crime. Our team of leading silks and juniors provides a sophisticated service focused on understanding the particular needs of each client, which includes not only the immediate demands of the inquiry or inquest, but also consideration of the wider legal and commercial issues and risks. We offer expertise that enables us to assist individuals, public bodies and commercial organisations throughout the legal consequences of a fatal incident, from the inquest and any criminal / regulatory proceedings through to the management of a civil claim.

Members of Deka Chambers are currently instructed in the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, the Thirlwall Inquiry (Lucy Letby), for both families and organisations in the Covid 19 Inquiry and as part of the CTI team for the Paterson Inquests.
