The Supreme Court handed down judgment on the appeals of the defendant local authorities in these two cases this morning.
A copy of the judgment as handed down is attached.
The court has allowed the defendants’ appeals and restored the striking out of the negligence claims against the defendants, alleging that the claimants should have been removed from the care of their parents at an earlier date by the obtaining of a care order from the family courts.
