Our clerking team has a wealth of experience and is used to dealing with sensitive information.

Where members of Chambers are instructed on opposite sides of a case we have information barriers in place to avoid a conflict of interest and ensure complete confidentiality.

In such cases we ensure that the barristers concerned are informed of the other’s involvement. Each party is allocated a dedicated clerking team to ensure there is full separation in the practical running of the litigation, and all correspondence, case papers and documents for each side are only dealt with by the relevant clerks. The allocated clerks are solely responsible for the day-to-day clerking of the case, including billing, organising conferences or liaising with the individual client and barrister instructed.

Our policy fully complies with Bar Council recommendations in this area.
