Matthew Shepherd

Matthew Shepherd joined Chambers in August 2014 as Office Junior and became Junior Criminal Clerk in July 2015.

In 2021, Matthew joined the Civil team as Civil & Mediation Clerk.

Matthew is responsible for the practice management of the Civil Team, negotiating fees, allocation of work and is also the secondary Clerk for Chambers growing Alternative Dispute Resolution team.

He is a member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks and has undertaken the Bar Council direct access training for clerks and is happy to assist with any enquiries.

Matthew has recently completed his ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Barristers’ Clerks.

In his spare time, Matthew is a musician and regularly performs in London and at venues / festivals across the country.
