The areas of work in which we have particular expertise, experience and excellence.
Applications in private law can become some of the most heated, emotional and difficult cases the courts handle. Members of the Private Law team approach instructions with empathy and understanding, whilst also providing robust advice to obtain the best outcomes possible.
Members of Chambers have expertise in private law matters, including applications for:
• “Live with” and “spend time with” Child Arrangement Orders;
• Prohibited Steps Orders;
• Specific Issue Orders, including in relation to schooling, education, religion and medical treatment; and
• Non-molestation and Occupation Orders.
Our barristers are regularly instructed in FHDRAs, DRAs, Fact-Finding and Final Hearings and are well versed in dealing with allegations of domestic abuse and parental alienation, whether acting for parents or Court-appointed guardians.
Many barristers are regularly instructed in care proceedings and so have a breadth of experience when considering s47 enquiries and outcomes by local authorities in associated private law proceedings.
A number of members are experienced in cases with complex international and
jurisdictional issues, including temporary leave to remove.
