In yesterday’s webinar, Paul Stagg and Roderick Abbott talked about recent developments in police misconduct.
Paul Stagg examined recent developments in negligence claims against police forces, with a focus on the vexed issue of when police officers owe duties of care to members of the public affected by their acts or omissions. In particular, he discussed the decisions in England and Wales in Tindall and Woodcock and in Northern Ireland in Magill and Holbeach.
Roderick drew on his experience acting for appropriate authorities and as a legal adviser to panels.
