Giles Bedloe secures acquittal of client on a charge of murder

Giles Bedloe and Tyrone Smith KC of 25 Bedford Row have secured the acquittal of their client on a charge of murder at Inner London Crown Court.

Instructed by Karamjit Singh and Nadeem Afzal of Holborn Law, they successfully argued that their 17 year old client had not assisted the primary offender in committing the fatal stabbing of a young man in south east London with a machete.

The principal offender was sentenced to 17 years detention for murder. Giles’ client was sentenced for manslaughter, receiving a term of 9 years detention.
