On the 30th January 2017, Tom Goodhead, led by Andrew Onslow QC of 3 Verulam Buildings, represented over 7,000 Claimants in the first hearing in the High Court, arising out of claims brought against Volkswagen AG and its subsidiaries in respect of the “Dieselgate” NOx Emissions Scandal.
Despite its public admissions of wrongdoing and settlement of claims in the United States for $14.7bn, in the UK VW continues to deny liability to compensate purchasers of affected vehicles.
