The Deka Chambers family team is on the London Boroughs Legal Alliance (LBLA) panel and works with many local authorities throughout London.
Our growing team includes experienced barristers at all levels of call up to King’s Counsel. Our barristers work closely with local authority solicitors and social work teams, advising on complex legal matters from pre-proceedings stage right up to contested final hearings and fact-finding hearings.
The team is adept at dealing with urgent and short-notice hearings such as EPOs, urgent ICOs, DOLs applications and other applications under the Inherent Jurisdiction.
The Family Team benefits from inter-disciplinary experience and expertise, as many of our barristers are also able to advise and act on Court of Protection, Judicial Review and Human Rights matters.
The team can provide flexible and tailored training on a variety of topics, including webinars, seminars hosted in chambers and training days at local authority offices.
