Saleem Khalid is one of the leading senior juniors at the Bar in the field of Construction.
He is the Head of Construction and Head of the Commercial Group at Deka Chambers.
Saleem specialises in all types of Construction & Professional Negligence actions.
He has developed a considerable knowledge and expertise of complex TCC cases and arbitrations, most recently those involving cladding and building safety defects following the Grenfell disaster; insurance policies; energy; environmental; international/multi-jurisdictional and public/local authority projects. He also has particular experience in construction related professional indemnity claims, having represented both Claimants and Defendants.
Saleem is a member of the Attorney General’s Panel of Counsel and a part-time judge.
Saleem is currently writing a book on building safety.
Saleem has for many years achieved a consistent track record of achieving excellent results in litigation for individual clients, insurers, governments/authorities and groups.
He offers advocacy and advice at all stages of a dispute, which is commercially and tactically minded.
