Giles Eyre

Call: 1974

Giles Eyre has retired from practice at the Bar after 40 years (and is now an unregistered barrister), but remains an Associate Member of Chambers.

He continues giving training and seminars to and holding workshops for medical and other experts on providing effective expert reports and giving effective evidence in court. He is co-author of Writing Medico-Legal Reports in Civil Claims – an essential guide (2015),  author of Clinical Practice and the Law – a legal primer (2018), and regularly writes articles on the subject. Click here to view Giles’ blog on issues particularly relevant to medico-legal reports in civil claims.

He also continues to sit as a Recorder.

During his years in practice Giles had extensive experience in conducting and advising in personal injury and clinical negligence claims of all kinds. Giles enjoyed working closely with the medical profession in the preparation of claims and also with a wide variety of other expert witnesses and so developed his interest in training and educating experts in the needs of the legal process.
