Beatrice is currently in her first six, currently observing civil work under the supervision of John Schmitt.
Before commencing pupillage, Beatrice worked as a Crown Court Clerk, gaining first-hand insight into the workings of a busy London criminal court. In this role, she liaised daily with judges, members of the Bar, defendants, and the public to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the court. She frequently clerked in serious criminal cases, developing strong organisational skills and an ability to remain composed under pressure.
As an undergraduate, Beatrice regularly volunteered at a pro bono legal clinic, assisting barristers and solicitors in providing free legal advice to members of the public, including those with vulnerabilities. She was commended for her quick thinking, problem-solving ability, and empathetic approach to client care. Beatrice also enjoyed mooting in which she was awarded the title of Best Mooter within her cohort.
Outside of her legal career, Beatrice is an avid reader with a keen interest in art and theatre.
