Charlie Stonehill joins us as a tenant

News

07/01/2026

Deka Chambers is delighted to announce that Charlie Stonehill joins us as a tenant from today, 7 January 2026, having accepted an offer of tenancy following successful completion of pupillage.

Charlie accepts instructions across Chambers’ core areas of practice and regularly appears in court.

Before joining Deka Chambers, Charlie worked as a self-employed County Court Advocate, where he received daily instructions across a wide civil caseload. He has developed a strong civil practice during his pupillage, and he is routinely instructed in small claims trials, Stage 3 hearings, civil applications, and infant approvals.

Charlie is regularly instructed in family matters, including both public and private children’s cases. He also regularly appears in the Court of Protection.

As a criminal practitioner, Charlie is currently a Grade 1 CPS prosecutor, and is actively working towards becoming Grade 2. During his pupillage, he was instructed in several Magistrates Court and Crown Court matters, and he has represented the police multiple times dealing with criminal behaviour orders.

We wish him every success for his career.
