After 5 years as Head of 1 Chancery Lane and then 3 as Joint Head of Deka Chambers, Simon Readhead KC will be stepping down from that role.
Over 8 years, Simon successfully faced the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic, merger with 9 Gough Chambers with all the complexities of relocating from 1 Chancery Lane. This was in addition to the more mundane matters such as introduction of GDPR and enhancing resilience to cyber-attacks. We are grateful for Simon’s leadership and guidance to members and staff during his tenure. Simon will concentrate on his wide-ranging practice for both claimants and defendants in all aspects of medico-legal law.
Tom Little KC, First Senior Treasury Counsel, will be the Head of Chambers from 3 October 2025.
