Event Date: 13th November 2024

On 13 November 2024, Deka Chambers hosted its online pupillage information event.

Attendees heard from Louise McCullough about the pupillage application process and what we look for in applicants. Madeleine Miller spoke about the pupillage year and her experience of a mix of areas of work in her first years of practice. Ben Rodgers explained his work as a more senior member of chambers, and how his career has developed to date.

All of the speakers also answered questions submitted by the attendees and discussed the role of the clerks and practice management. Alongside the on-screen speakers, written questions were answered simultaneously by other members of chambers and pupils.

Deka Chambers is a common law (mixed practice) set of chambers based in London. In the upcoming application round, we will be advertising for pupillage vacancies commencing in October 2026. The application window will open on 2 January 2025 and close on 6 February 2025. First round interviews will take place on Saturday 22 March 2025. There is much more information about our application process on our pupillage pages.
