On Thursday 3 October, Deka Chambers supported ‘An Evening with Cerebra’ hosted by Bolt Burdon Kemp.

Cerebra is a National Charity that supports families of children with brain injuries and other brain conditions.

Barristers, solicitors, case managers and other professionals met over drinks and canapes to learn more about the fantastic work this charity does to help children with brain injuries. The evening was a showcase of Cerebra’s innovative bespoke products which they design and manufacture to help children discover the world around them. From fish tanks to oxygen tanks via specialist buggies and surfboards to scooters, we saw it all!  We also listened to presentations from Ross Head and James Hay of Cerebra – they both took us behind the scenes a little to hear some of the truly inspiring stories behind their work and to give us some insight into the transformative impact it has had on children’s ability to enjoy life. A passionate team of people work at Cerebra who bring about real positive and uplifting change to children’s lives –  it was a real pleasure to be able to help raise awareness of this wonderful charity through this event.

The event was the brainchild of Cheryl Abrahams, Partner (BBK) and Helen Pooley, Deka Chambers – they organised the evening with Karley Hewitt, Sonita Hayward (both BBK),  James Hay and Ross Head (BBK).
