Jennie Oborne secures highest ever account forfeiture order pursued by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit

Jennie Oborne represented the Chief Constable of Hertfordshire Constabulary in respect of an application to forfeit £1.4 million held in a series of third party accounts controlled by the interested party. The investigation had revealed a complex set of transactions that demonstrated that the funds were the product of a payroll fraud.
An appeal against the forfeiture order under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 was abandoned at St Albans Crown Court on 2nd July 2024.
Jennie was instructed by Paul Fitzsimmons and Sarah Neve of the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, and Kate Stephenson of Bedfordshire Police.
