A team of six from Deka Chambers – Laura Johnson KC, Sabrina Hartshorn, Esther Pounder, Bernard Pressman, Conor Kennedy and Tom Priest – joined forces with a team from Slater and Gordon this weekend to participate in The Push.
The Push is Back Up Trust’s ultimate fundraising challenge. For over a decade, hundreds of supporters have come together to take on the highest mountain in England and Wales – Yr Wyddfa, formerly known as Snowdon – which stands at over 3,500 feet high. In teams of 10 to 16, including one member who uses a wheelchair, members of the team work together to reach the top of the mountain.
This means walking, climbing, pushing and pulling to the summit and back down again, covering about eight miles of mixed terrain. All to raise money for Back Up’s vital work.

This weekend the weather was not kind to the participants but they perservered, and although they were not the fastest team they were the top fundraising team. It is not too late to sponsor them – sponsor the Deka Chambers / Slater and Gordon team here.
