Deka is pleased to have partnered with BVL once again to run our legal essay writing competition, in memory of dear friend and talented barrister, Aqeel H Noorali.
Applications for the 2024 competition are now open. The essay title for the 2024 competition is as follows:
“Should children who commit serious crimes such as murder ever be publicly identified?”
There is a 1,000 word limit.
Entrants should be full-time students aged 16–19 years at non-fee paying schools in England and Wales at the time of entry to the competition.
The top prize is £1,000 and a mini-pupillage, and there are also cash prizes for runners-up. The competition is open from 24th June to 16th September 2024.
