World Mental Health Day 2023

Today, 10th October, marks World Mental Health Day, an opportunity for people and communities to unite behind the theme ‘Mental Health is a universal human right’.

At Deka Chambers the wellbeing and mental health of all members and staff is a priority. To that end Deka partners with OpenUp, an organisation that recognises the importance of mental wellbeing and its impact on overall productivity and work-related happiness. This year-round resource provides everyone at Deka with a completely confidential and easily accessible service at no cost. It offers a variety of resources including:

  • Unlimited private consultations with psychologists.
  • Mindfulness sessions: either alone or in groups.
  • Mindful techniques for on the go: techniques to calm you down that can be done easily between meetings.
  • Audio meditations: an opportunity to check in with yourself while you’re commuting or taking a walk.
  • Self-guided courses: to learn more about wellbeing topics at your own pace.
