Francesca O’Neill successfully struck out a claim brought against the Metropolitan Police for racially motivated unlawful arrest.
At a hearing before HHJ Freeland QC at Central London County Court, the claim for £500,000 in compensation which had been running for more than 9 years in both the High Court and County Court was struck out 6 weeks before trial, and the Claimant, a litigant in person, was ordered to pay the Commissioner’s costs including an interim payment on account.
