Kate Lamont shall provide an overview of the recent case law on secure accommodation orders in light of the continuing difficulties facing local authorities in finding suitable accommodation provision. Tom Jones will consider the deprivation of liberty safeguards in respect of children and young people, including how to identify a deprivation of liberty in practice, the procedure for authorisation and future reform.
