29/04/2020

On 28th April Cobb J gave a ruling the most recent in a line of cases that have raised concern about the chronic lack of registered secure accommodation provision for children with complex needs in Re S (Child in Care. Unregistered Placement) [2020] EWHC 1012 . This ruling will be sent to the Secretary of State at the express request of the Children’s Commissioner.

Kate Lamont and Tom Jones will be hosting a Webinar at on Thursday 14th May looking at recent legal developments in relation to Secure Accommodation and Deprivation of Liberty under the inherent jurisdiction. If you would be interested in joining us please contact events@9goughchambers.co.uk.
