Emily Verity has successfully prosecuted a serial sex offender who poses a high risk of serious harm to the public including children. The man was convicted of stalking a teenage girl in breach of conditions of the court imposed after his conviction for offences against a different teenage girl.

LB was convicted earlier at Kingston Crown Court of sexual offences against a girl aged 14. He received a custodial sentence and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed preventing him from messaging girls under 16 with any sexual content. He was released from prison on licence in February 2019. On his first day of release he started contacting a 15 year old girl. She refused contact with him but he sent her sexual videos and called her repeatedly to arrange a meeting. After he approached her in the street, she contacted police. His licence was revoked and he was remanded in custody.

Restraining order and new Sexual Harm Prevention Orders were imposed immediately by Judge Hunter, Vice Judge Advocate General at Kingston Crown Court, and LB will be sentenced further at a later date.
