At the Old Bailey His Honour Judge Leonard QC yesterday sentenced Enrique Facelli, a former Uruguayan diplomat for killing his neighbour in a long running dispute to a Hospital Order with restriction. The defendant was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia at the time and had been sectioned a couple of months earlier following an earlier incident at the deceased’s flat. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the basis of diminished responsibility. The case attracted national media publicity.
