Thom Dyke prosecutes drug dealer caught with an “arsenal of lethal firearms”

News | Mon 4th Jun, 2018

Thom Dyke, led by William Emlyn-Jones (Treasury Counsel, Three Raymond Buildings), has successfully prosecuted a drug dealer caught in possession of five illegal firearms and more than 60 rounds of ammunition.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Trident and Area Crime Command had seized the guns after they executed a search warrant at KO’s home address in April 2017.

A total of £9,790 in cash was found within one of the bedrooms as well as just under five kilograms of cannabis. In a locked shed, officers discovered four handguns and an imitation firearm with dozens of cartridges and a silencer.

On 31 May 2018 at Woolwich Crown Court, KO was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Passing sentence HHJ SA Hales QC described KO as having possessed “an arsenal of lethal weapons”.
