Lord Faulks QC returns to 1 Chancery Lane

News | Wed 29th Nov, 2017

Lord Faulks QC is to rejoin his Set at 1 Chancery Lane following his resignation as Minister of State for Civil Justice and Legal Policy. He will recommence practice at the beginning of September.

Lord Faulks undertook his pupillage at, and thereafter practiced from, this Set until his appointment by the former Prime Minister, David Cameron, in December 2013. During his time as Minister of Justice he was tasked with implementing a number of contentious legislative measures.

John Ross QC, Head of Chambers says: “All at 1 Chancery Lane are delighted that Lord Faulks has decided to return to this Set, of which he was previously Head. He has been widely acknowledged for many years as a leading practitioner in his chosen fields of practice – clinical negligence, public authority liability, Human Rights Act issues and public law disputes. Whilst I entirely understood his decision to accept the Ministerial Office that he was offered, I personally regretted his absence from Chambers, having shared my all of my professional life with him. I am pleased to welcome him back into Chambers again and we all look forward to what, undoubtedly, will be a resumption of his extremely successful practice”.
