Ed Lamb, instructed by Jemma Garside and Francesca Gabbitas of Duncan Lewis successfully resisted an application by the OS and the Local Authority to remove P from his home into a rehabilitative placement. This important case  lasted 6 days in front of Senior Judge Hilder and involved arguments related to causation of mental impairment and lack of capacity and how the Court deals with intractable disputes between the authorities and family members charged with P’s care. A full judgment is awaited. Ed acted for the Father of P who suffers from cerebral palsy caused by negligence at his birth.
