On 6th June 2017 Tom Little was called as a Bencher of Middle Temple by the current Master Treasurer of the Inn, Lord Dyson. Masters of the Bench, known as Benchers, are responsible for the governance of the Inn and are elected by the current Benchers. Most of the Inn’s Benchers are Queen’s Counsel or senior members of the judiciary and it is a sign of the respect with which Tom is held by the profession that he has been called as a Bencher when a junior and at only 19 years’ call.
