Following an 8 day trial at Isleworth Crown Court earlier this year, GM was unanimously convicted of historic rape of two family members, over a 6 year period when the complainants were aged between 6 and 11 years. The indictment, which straddled the old and new law, alleged at least 48 incidents of sexual assault and penetration and at least 15 incidents of raping a child.
On 27th October 2016 HHJ Johnson sentenced the defendant to 18 years’ imprisonment and an additional 1 year pursuant to section 236A CJA 2003 making a total sentence of 19 years. A Sexual Harm Prevention Order was also imposed until further order.
