Cyrus Katrak and William Dean give training to Osbornes Solicitors

Cyrus Katrak and William Dean attended Osbornes Solicitors on 23rd February 2016 to provide training on claims arising out of accidents abroad.

William spoke about package holiday claims, which are actions arising out of contracts between holidaymakers and tour operators and retailers, as well as the routes by which an injured person may bring a claim directly against a foreign insurance company. Cyrus spoke about the Non-Contractual Obligations Convention (“Rome II”), the correct forum to bring an action and the applicable law and procedure. He also provided an update on the recent decision of the High Court in Syred V Powszecnny Zaklad Ubezpieczen (PZU) SA [2016] EWHC 254 (QB).
