Andrew Ritchie QC, head of chambers at 9 Gough Chambers, has been shortlisted for ‘Barrister of the Year’ by The Lawyer Awards 2015. The awards are in their 21st Year and celebrate excellence across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry and the Bar.
Andrew has had a busy 12 months including representing the family of Carlos Estrada a BP Executive at the inquest into his death at In Amenas, Algeria where he was killed during a terrorist attack in 2013. The coroner made findings of fact which highlighted BP’s serious lack of effective security at the plant. Andrew has also secured substantial settlements for his many clinical negligence clients during the year.
The winners will be revealed at the Awards ceremony held on Tuesday 23rd June 2015 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
